Stiglitz, Joseph Eugene

Enciclopedia on line

Economista statunitense (n. Tra le sue opere: Lectures on public economics (in collab. con A. Atkinson, 1980); Theory of commodity price stabilization (in collab. con D. Newbery, 1981); Economics of the public sector (1986); The economic role of the state (1989); Principles of economics (1993); Principles of macroeconomics (1997); il manuale Economics (1997); Globalization and its discontents (2002); The roaring nineties (2003); Fair trade for all (con A. Charlton, 2005); Making globalization work (2006); The Stiglitz report. Reforming the international monetary and financial systems in the wake of the global crisis (2010); The price of inequality. How today's divided society endangers our future (2012); Creating a learning society (con B.C. Greenwald, 2014; trad. it. 2018); The great divide: unequal societies and what we can do about them (2015); The euro. And its threat to the future of Europe (2016); Measuring what counts for economic and social performance (con J.-P. Fitoussi e M. Durand, 2019; trad. it. 2021); People, power, and profits: progressive capitalism for an age of discontent (2019; trad. it. 2020); The road to freedom.
